Mars Wrigley Kenya Donates 30 Laptops and Renovates School Computer Lab to boost digital Learning

Students at St Patrick’s High School, Nairobi received a boost to their digital and academic learning following the donation of 30 laptops and renovation of their computer lab by Mars Wrigley Kenya.

This Initiative is part of Mars Wrigley broader community engagement strategy aimed at bridging the digital divide and creating opportunity for students to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Mars Wrigley GM Sub-Saharan Africa, Ismael Bello said “At Mars Wrigley, we believe in making a difference in the communities where we serve, and we recognize that access to digital tools and a conducive learning environment are essential. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, explore and develop their digital literacy and we are proud to partner with St. Patrick’s High School to create an environment where students can thrive.”

In Kenya, Mars Wrigley continues to invest in initiatives that provide educational resources, with an aim of expanding schooling and learning opportunities.

Reaction to Mars Wrigley Kenya Donation

While accepting the donation, the Principal of St. Patrick’s High School Madam Prisca Ochieng said “your donation here today will have a lasting impact on our students. Access to technology is critical for learning, research, career preparation and so much more. Your generous support will be instrumental in our efforts to achieve full digital literacy for our students.

The laptops donated by Mars Wrigley Kenya will be integrated into the school’s computer lab for immediate use by the students.
